39th Board Members
We are so happy to introduce ourselves as the official 39th board of CASA. Made up of five people, we handle the internal administration of our study association and aim to live up to our member’s expectations! We are nothing without our CASA community, thank you so much for trusting us with this task for this year, 2025-2026. We are so excited to share our upcoming projects with you!

Daren Neesken (She/Her)Hi, I’m Daren from Jakarta, Indonesia! I’m the eldest daughter of 3 children and eldest granddaughter of 16 grandchildren on both sides. A tough role growing up that taught me responsibility, resilience, and care for people - such invaluable principles I keep close to me, especially now as a chair.

My name is Troy, and as far back as I can remember, I was always thinking about money, financial responsibility is my middle name, and bookkeeping is the game. I'm proud to be CASA's 39th Treasurer!

Basil Kafka (They/Them)Hi, I’m Basil, and I’m non-binary. I’m a pretty big music nerd, so ask for an album recommendation if you would like something new to listen to. I also watch movies sometimes, so ask about that if you want. I am interested in political anthropology, and I am taking the 'Middle Eastern Studies' minor. As the study coordinator, I can help answer questions you might have, and I will be organising study related events.
